15 projects and collectives elevating women in Web3

Please note: this list is meant to be educational only, and Crypto Altruism does not officially endorse any of these projects. Make sure you do your own research!

In honor of International Women’s Day, it’s important to recognize the incredible women in Web3, while also taking some time to reflect on how we can build a more inclusive and equitable space. After all, Web3 is still male dominated, which is evidenced by the fact that only 26% of crypto holders in the United States are women-identifying. Furthermore, research from Nov 2021 indicates that female artists accounted for only 5% of all NFT art sales.

Looking at the tech space more broadly, there is a massive gender gap, with women making up about 25% of workers in the technology sector, while the share of financing obtained by women-only startup teams is 1%.
