How you can support earthquake relief in Syria and Turkey with cryptocurrency

On February 6, 2023, a series of earthquakes struck the region along the border of Syria and Turkey, leading to widespread devastation and loss of life. To date, over 35,000 people have lost their lives as a result of the earthquakes, and urgent support is needed to provide humanitarian relief to those impacted by the crisis.

Following the earthquakes, the Web3 community stepped up, donating more than $11 million in the 48 hours following. This has included contributions from many large crypto companies such as Bitfinex, Tether, and The Sandbox, as well as prominent crypto figures such as Vitalik Buterin and Justin Sun. Several crypto fundraising campaigns have also been launched including NFT projects and cryptocurrency funds to support humanitarian organizations in Syria and Turkey.

Below, we’ve highlighted the growing number of ways that individuals can use their cryptocurrency to support earthquake relief efforts in Syria and Turkey. This list will continue to be updated as more projects and campaigns emerge.
